| To ensure a tight and secure fitting, an 1” Styrofoam sheeting (F) is sandwich between the exterior and interior walls (D). A bead of caulk runs along the tongue of each log (E) to create a properly sealed wall. Timber Ridge gives you the option for interior walls by using round cedar logs, tongue and groove cedar planks (D) or drywall. Our log homes are built with very low levels of Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which can be found in
adhesives, sealants and paints. VOCs are organic chemical compounds that can release harmful toxic vapors.

At Timber Ridge, we hand pick each log individually to find
the straightest and sturdiest cedar logs. After a log is
milled, it is then air-dried to allow the “green log” to
naturally lose some of its moisture without causing stress.
Air-drying reduces checking, cracking and twisting, while
providing a better quality log for your new home.
